Everywhere you look

In the Moreton Bay Region, it’s always easy to spot one of the great second hand stores, seeing that in different towns of the region there are almost always more than one around. Not only can the more known Op Shops such as Lifeline, Salvos or Vinnies be found but certain towns will also have their own one of a kind Op Shops.

The Unique

Renu Fashion is a favourite among the locals of Margate, with children’s clothing being free and no other items over the price of $2 it’s impossible to not catch a bargain. This Op Shop is unique by the fact that although they are not associated with a charity, it is still very charitable. Every cent and dollar made are to help the community and if anyone homeless comes to the shop, they are welcome to take a bag of ten items.

The Mercy Shop found on Bribie Island is another individual store and when purchases are made with this Op Shop, the proceeds go to a number of programs and disaster relief projects.

There’s also the Dakabin Treasure Market and Caboolture Treasure Market. Two Moreton Bay Regional Council markets. The Dakabin location specializes in furniture, gardening accessories, books, CDS and vinyl records while the Caboolture location is known for bikes, furniture and clothes.

Superstores

If you’re looking for a bigger range and want more to choose from, then there’s also the superstores that are massive in size and have a just as massive availability of items ready to be bought by customers. There’s a number of them located around the Moreton Bay Region, one in Brendale, one in Margate and a brand new one that just opened in Lawnton. All three of these are Lifeline Superstores and, of course, Lifeline is an extremely important charity that’s main goal is crisis support, suicide prevention and saving lives.

As well as all these stores mentioned and so many other notable Op Shops around the Moreton Bay Region, we’re all really spoilt for choice. What are you waiting for? Go and get yourself a great deal! Happy shopping.
