Just Glam-camping at the Showgrounds

If you're stopping into Moreton Bay Region on your lifetime trip to the cape or just looking for a local spot to pull over and spend a few nights while you explore the region during the day, then the local showgrounds maybe the solution for you. With wide grassed areas, perfect for big rigs and clean facilities, several of Moreton Bay Region's local show societies offer the caravanning community a great solution for affordable short stays, outside of the annual show period. Best of all, several are pet friendly!

Caboolture Showgrounds Camping

Situated on the outskirts of Caboolture, this campground is the ideal location to pull up if looking to explore Glasshouse Mountains, Bribie Island, Woodford and surrounds. With the added bonus of a train station with has express morning and evening services into Brisbane City.

Facilities: Toilets, showers, powered sites

Location: 140 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture

Bookings: No bookings taken, please come directly to gate 2. Head right towards the caretakers house where you will find the office. Sites are not available before 10am unless you have prior approval from the caretaker / office.

Dayboro Showgrounds Camping

A short walk into the town centre of Dayboro, this campground boasts views of the surrounding countryside, including the backdrop of the D’Aguilar Ranges and its National Park.

Samford Showgrounds Camping (pet friendly & open fires*)

Kickback and relaxed at the foot of Mount Glorious. This country campground is a short drive to the quaint Samford Village with its cafes, museum and heritage trail. It also offers a hiking opportunity up the hill to Maiala day-use area, with its selection of walking trails, picnic areas and lookouts.

Woodford Showgrounds Camping

A short walk into the town centre of Woodford, this campground boasts views of the surrounding countryside, including the backdrop of the D’Aguilar National Park and Bellthorpe National Park.

Pine Rivers Showgrounds Camping (pet friendly)

Pine Rivers Showgrounds is located in the leafy suburb of Lawnton. Conveniently located near Strathpine's shopping precinct, this showgrounds is a popular pull over for those with large rigs or pets. It's also a stone's throw to the Lawnton Train Station, with easy access into Brisbane's CBD experiences, such as QPAC.

If you love to fish, Pine Rivers Showgrounds is located close to the region's North Pine River and Lake Samsonvale, both popular with locals.

Facilities: Big rig parking, dump point, pets allowed, powered site, shower, toilet, drinking water

Redcliffe Showgrounds

Redcliffe Showgrounds is located in close proximity to many of Redcliffe's local attractions, including Redcliffe Jetty, Settlement Cove Lagoon and Scarborough Beach. The showgrounds is suitable for big rigs and large groups.
