Summer Activities: Brisbane Water Play Ideas

During the warmer months, everyone thinks about going to the beach. But that’s so old school. We’ve got some better ideas for summer activities and water play near Brisbane!

Water Park

Slip, slop, slap to slide, swing, and summersault into the refreshing Redcliffe waterfront thanks to Aqua Warrior Redcliffe. One of the closest water parks to Brisbane, Aqua Warrior has plenty of infrastructure to tire out the little kids and even more to entertain the big kids! Enjoy an hour or two climbing domes, taking on the runway or just simply seeing how much of the inflatable watercourse you can complete. It’s a summer activity that’s fun for everyone!

Jet Skiing

From an eco-adventure up the Pumicestone Passage at Bribie Island to a 90-minute roller-coaster, Moreton Bay Jetski Hire & Ride have the ultimate water play near Brisbane experience for this summer. Explore Ningi Creek, weave between the islands, perform some figure eights and take on a hot lap all in a hired jet ski with no licence required! Don’t forget, cruising through the Moreton Bay Marine Park, you might also spot some local marine wildlife like dugongs, turtles and dolphins.

4x4 Beach

Locals of Moreton Bay may not realise it, but the opportunity to drive on the beach is not all that common - that's why G'Day Adventure Tours exists! So, if you’ve got visitors for the summer, why not take them for a beach four-wheel-drive experience out on Bribie Island? Head to Woorim Ocean Beach and explore the World War II Bunkers at Fort Bribie, take a dip in one of three lagoons, go fishing or surfing, and maybe even camp at the inland track!

The Moreton Bay is full of fun activities. Explore more below.
