Dog-Friendly Café near Brisbane

Dog and kid-friendly with live music on Sunday mornings, there’s no better way to truly wake yourself up and get energised for the day than a hot cuppa at Café Lagarto. Whether it’s a weekend family outing, a weekday sit-back and relax, or a social catch-up with friends, Café Lagarto can provide the goods for any occasion with their all-day breakfast and lunch menu.

Stick to basics with toast and spread, bacon and eggs, muesli and a toastie or opt for something more filling like spicy savoury mince, smashed avo and feta on rye, and some zucchini fritters.

Like any good café near Brisbane, Lagarto has their signature dishes. Try the Lagarto Garden Burger with field mushroom, spinach, red onion, haloumi, aioli and fries or get the Lagarto Big Breakky with bacon, eggs, mushroom, baked beans, pork chipolata’s, house-made fritter, cherry tomatoes and sourdough. Top it all off with Lagarto Fries, your choice of potato or sweet-potato friends with house-made aioli.

Spanish for ‘Lizard’

It’s no surprise that a café named after the Spanish word for ‘lizard’ would often see the little creatures roaming through the area. Just outside Samford Village on Mount Glorious Road in the Samford Lifestyle Centre, Café Lagarto is set among many other lifestyle and well-being shops as well as a playground for kids. The centre boasts a thriving nursery, boutique gift shop, beauty salon, yoga studio and the opportunity to take a farm walk.

After you finish off your meals, take the kids through the nursery, exploring the quirky garden sculptures and fishpond. Alternatively, you can take them to see the horse tearoom, where locals arrive on horseback for a hot cuppa and homemade cake under the alfresco pergola.
