Combining outdoor adventure and local history, YMCA Camp North Pine offers a unique experience for school camps and affordable group accommodation in Brisbane. Located within the historic Old Petrie Town adjacent to the North Pine River, the camp is a short 35 minutes’ drive north of Brisbane city. The YMCA offers dormitory-style accommodation for 114 people including separate leader/coach rooms. Sporting groups will appreciate the large indoor and outdoor recreational areas for training and team meetings and spacious accommodation for storing equipment. The camp’s location to Old Petrie Town also makes it an ideal location for educational school camp programs, corporate retreats and recreational groups of all ages and sizes.

Brisbane Group Accommodation and Catering

There are two accommodation wings at Camp North Pine both featuring separate group leader and separate bathroom facilities. Full catering service is provided for all camp packages, including complimentary morning and afternoon tea. Special dietary requirements can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Morning/Afternoon Tea: Complimentary

Adventure Activities: $12.58pp

Flexible Group Programs

No matter what your group activities, the professional, experienced staff ensure every program is delivered to achieved your group’s desired outcomes. YMCA Camp North Pine can tailor make an activity program to suit your group’s individual needs, or use the camp facilities and have their qualified YMCA staff facilitate your own program. Learning frameworks include Personal Growth (building resilience, setting goals, leadership opportunities etc.), Sense of Community (working as a team, connecting with others etc.) and Connecting with the Natural World (appreciating, understanding and protecting the environment). Camp activities include:

  • Rope Activities – giant swing, low ropes
  • Water Activities – canoeing, raft building, water-based trust and initiative activities
  • Land Activities – archery, orienteering, land-based trust and initiative activities
  • Old Petrie Town Activities Indigenous cultural experiences, heritage museum, pottery barn, craft activities
  • Other – further activities are also available at nearby YMCA Camp Warrawee
