IMPORTANT: A $50 per person per day fee is applicable to all tours and payable direct on arrival to the service provider.
You’ll be transported to the ferry for a scenic cruise to Moreton Island, a great opportunity to spot dolphins, turtles and other marine life. Upon arrival you will be chauffeured around the national park on a 4WD eco-tour, sightseeing Moreton Island attractions and experiencing a plethora of things to do on Moreton Island.
You’ll visit the desert for sand boarding fun, Blue Lagoon for a swim or snorkel, the eastern surf beach for a stroll, Blue Lagoon’s remote eastern beach campsite for a picnic lunch, and Cape Moreton Lighthouse to spot marine life from its viewing platform. Upon your return trip to the campgrounds you will stop-off at North Point, Yellow Patch and Honeymoon Bay, nearby the Champagne Pools.
When you arrive back at the campsite your guide will prepare dinner. You can enjoy a BYO wine or beer with your dinner if you have come prepared. Snacks and warm drinks will be available as well.
Fuel up on a steaming cup of hot coffee or tea along with your fruit, toast and cereal to prime yourself for all the sandy shenanigans which await you on Day 2.
Your guide will give your tour group a choice between hiking Mount Tempest or spending the morning lazing around Blue Lagoon, followed by a picnic lunch.
After eating you will be chauffeured to the famous Tangalooma Shipwrecks where you can snorkel, kayak, or swim with the tropical fish or simply relax. In the early afternoon you will check into Tangalooma Resort Moreton Bay and as dusk approaches you will experience the wonder of hand feeding the wild dolphins who visit the resort each night.
You need not adhere to any pre-arranged itinerary on your final day – you are free to wander and explore Moreton Island attractions at your own pace, recline on the beach, or spend your last island hours enjoying over 30 FREE resort activities, or paid activities such as quad biking.
At 4pm you’ll depart on the fast catamaran from the Tangalooma Jetty back to the mainland across the bay and up the river, disembarking for bus transfer back to the Brisbane City Transit Centre.
