The biggest event celebration to hit the Moreton Bay Region, Redcliffe Festival, is back again in 2017. The Redcliffe Festival delivers a huge program of free and ticketed events over three massive weekends from 26 August to 10 September across the entire Redcliffe Peninsula. The festival includes the Ultimate Kids Weekend at Redcliffe KiteFest, inaugural Bee gees Way Dinner, What’s Cooking in the Gardens?, Scarborough Sounds, Jetty Fiesta, and Redcliffe Remembers. Without a doubt one of the most popular events on the Redcliffe Festival program, the Redcliffe KiteFest is two whole days of non-stop excitement and entertainment the whole family will love. Join us on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August from 9am-4pm at Pelican Park, Clontarf in Redcliffe.
The Redcliffe KiteFest is renowned for its world-class kite displays and will once again play host to a huge group of international and domestic kite flyers. The Public Kite Flying Zone is bigger than ever in 2017 so bring a kite or make your own here and jump in and fly away.
The Redcliffe KiteFest is the Ultimate Kids Weekend. Parents won’t have to lift a finger to keep the little ones entertained. It’s paradise on earth…for kids!
Treat Dad to a very special Father’s Day at Scarborough Sounds. This FREE event was a huge hit in 2015 & 2016 and brings another amazing line up of performers to Scarborough Beach Park in Scarborough on Sunday, 3rd September. From 4pm-8pm join us for a scenic picnic and great music as we celebrate Father’s Day the best way.
The tropical flavour hits Moreton Bay Region with Jetty Fiesta on Saturday, 9th September. From 3pm – 9pm Redcliffe Parade will be awash in spectacular light displays, beach performances, sensational musical entertainment, and much more. AND don’t miss the Moreton Bay Region’s biggest fireworks display EVER, launch from the Redcliffe Jetty from 8pm.
On Sunday, 10th September from 8am-3pm, Redcliffe Remembers will transform the Redcliffe Foreshore Precinct into historical hot-spots, celebrating and honouring the Peninsula’s iconic people and places, both past and present. Redcliffe Remembers brings families a wealth of musical talent from 50’s rock’n’roll classics to the gorgeous Celtic fiddle. Families can enjoy a huge classic and custom car display, or wander through the largest markets to hit Redcliffe Parade. See amazing street performers and buskers, step back in time in the Penny Arcade, or start your engines at the Billy Cart Races. Then, feel a true sense of history with a re-enactment of the first landing and Indigenous welcome with representatives from the Gubbi Gubbi people.
