Event FAQs


1. Do I need to show my ticket if I've purchased online?

Yes! Please print your ticket/s or have them ready to show on your smart device at the entry gates. If you have not received your ticket please email 

renee.gusa @ mbrit.com.au 

2. If I have a 2 Day ticket, do I need to bring both days?

Yes! Your event ticket will be re-scanned on the Saturday for entry into the footy stadium. No ticket, no entry. 

3. Can I leave the event and come back in later?

Yes! But only if you ask the Security Guard at the exit gate for a pass out. You will need to show this on re-entry. No pass out, no re-entry.

4. How many entry gates are there?

Dolphin Stadium has two entry gates, North and South. PLEASE NOTE that all patrons will go through a bag check before entering the stadium, CLICK HERE to read Dolphin Stadium Terms and Conditions of entry. Items will be confiscated if they breach the Clubs terms of entry.

5. Can I walk from the Kippa Ring Train Station?

Dolphin Stadium is less than 2km from the Kippa-Ring Train Station. It’s an easy flat walk from the station. CHECK HERE for the train timetable.

6. Is there parking?

Yes! However designated parking is limited around the Dolphin Stadium, which can be accessed via Klingner Road. Alternatively there is street parking. CLICK HERE to view location on Google Maps.

7. What about disabled parking?

There will be designated disabled parking outside the Redcliffe Leagues Club main club entry, however again this is limited. Patrons can drop off at the drop off area at the front of Redcliffe Leagues Club also. 

8. Is there a designated disabled entry?

Yes! Disabled access into the Rugby League 9s event will be via the Southern gate near the Redcliffe Leagues Club main entry. From this point patrons can easily access the lift to the disabled seating in the Des Webb Stand.

9. Will there be food and beverage at the event?

Yes! Food and beverage outlets will be open at Dolphin Stadium during the event. You can also enter the Redcliffe Leagues Club (VIEW OPTIONS HERE) to access a range of dining and bars (subject to normal conditions of entry).

10. Can I bring my own food and beverage into the event?

No. Patrons are not permitted to bring their own food and beverage into the event. These items will be confiscated by Security at the entry gates. CLICK HERE to see a full list of prohibited items. 

11. Can I bring my dog or domestic pet?

No. Assistance dogs are of course welcome.

12. Where will I be sitting?

This is an unreserved event, there is grandstand seating and a grassed area at the Northern end. First in, best dressed.

13. Will there be fireworks?

Yes. There will be a fireworks finale on the Saturday night (24th February). Fireworks are scheduled at approximately 7pm, subject to weather.

14. Will the event be live streamed or televised?

Yes. The live stream will be available via www.qrl.com.au and www.rlif.com.

15. How can I keep up with scores?

Easy! The NRL will be pushing scores onto their MyLeague App, more information HERE.

16. Will there be footy merchandise for sale?

Yes! Beastwear will have an onsite merchandise box at the northern gate. Alternatively you can purchase online HERE.

17. Is there an event program?

Yes! There will be a free hardcopy program available at the event. You can also view online HERE. You can also download a copy of the draw HERE.

18. How can I keep up to date with the event on social media this Friday and Saturday?

Easy, LIKE and FOLLOW the International Rugby League FACEBOOK page and TWITTER feed. Please follow these platforms for any announcements around weather.

19. If I decide to stay in Redcliffe for the night, is accommodation still available?

Accommodation is very limited on the peninsula, HERE is a list of local providers.

20. I heard the proceeds from the event ticket sales are being donated to Cyclone Gita victims, is this true?

Yes! In the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Australian Red Cross to assist these communities. Collection tins will also be at the gates.
