Caboolture Festival

From 3rd – 12th August, Caboolture will be a hive of activity with two jam-packed weeks of family fun events set to bring live music, entertainment, rides, and more to the region. Caboolture Festival is a brand-new festival program for 2019 brought together with a mix of well-known existing events and new events. Your go-to guide for all the fun coming to the Moreton Bay Region is above.

Scarborough Originals

This free, monthly, live music Redcliffe gig series is no joke – on the first Saturday of each month a line-up of talented musos will bring a mixed bag of sweet tunes to Scarborough Beach Park for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike at Scarborough Originals. Bring along a picnic blanket and some nibbles or visit one of the many local cafes and eateries nearby for takeaway, or a sit-down meal before, or after the show. This event caters to both adults and children with face painting for the young ones and live stage art for all ages to enjoy. Furry four-legged family members who are well-behaved in crowds are also welcome to attend.

Trevena Glen Open Day

Bring the family to Trevena Glen Farm at the foothills of the D'Aguilar Range on the second Saturday of every month, to get up close and personal to an alpaca, donkeys, chickens, guinea pigs, goats, pigs, sheep, cows, and horses! The family-run farm welcomes animal lovers of all ages to pat and feed the farm animals, enjoy horse and tractor rides, watch demonstrations, purchase coffee and drinks, and enjoy a sausage sizzle.

When: Saturday, 10 August, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Where: Trevena Glen Farm, 1100 Winn Road, Mount Samson

Melsa Train Park Close Up Bribie Island

Pine Rivers Model Train Exhibition

Join the Railway Modellers' Club of Queensland for the 2019 Pine Rivers Model Train & Hobby Show featuring 35 exhibitors, 17 train layouts and an “HO” layout featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends! Explore imaginary towns or enjoy scale representations of Australian, British and American rollingstock history.

When: Saturday - Sunday 10 & 11 August, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Where: Strathpine Community Centre, 199 Gympie Road, Strathpine

Teddy Bears Picnic Moreton Bay Regional Council

Narangba Teddy Bears Picnic

Grab your favourite teddy, pack a picnic blanket and head to the Narangba Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Friday 16 August 2019 at Norfolk Lakes Park. Running from 9am to 12noon, enjoy a morning of fun for children under five including stage shows, kid’s activities, an animal farm, trackless train and a teddy bear parade. Plus, a very special visit from Big Ted!

Abbey Trivia Night

Calling all Trivia enthusiasts! Unlock your knowledge, challenge your memory and support the Abbey Museum! Abbey Trivia is back on the 24th August 2019. Registration from 6:00pm; questions begin at 6.30pm. This is a fund-raising evening of fun for the whole family. Enjoy a delicious light supper, lucky door prizes and raffles. All welcome – come with a group or join a group on the night!

When: Saturday, 24 August, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Where: Abbey Museum, 1-63 The Abbey Place, Caboolture

Cost: $15 adults, school-aged children FREE.

Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta

The inclusive, family-friendly Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta is the only one of its kind north of Brisbane. It has been growing in both size and popularity since its humble beginnings over ten years ago. Each year this fiesta helps raise awareness of just how diverse the Moreton Bay Region community really is by bringing locals and visitors together for a colourful celebration jam-packed with free entertainment, rides for the kids, delicious traditional foods from around the world and all manner of lively cultural experiences.

When: Saturday, 31 August, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Cost: Gold coin entry
