#1. Rooftop Celebrations

Soak up the sunshine and enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool on Sebel Margate Beach’s Rooftop Bar. With panoramic views of the Moreton Bay that, on a clear day, includes being able to spot the sand dunes on Moreton Island, you can’t go wrong with this upscale 4.5-star hotel. Make the most of your visit and take advantage of the beach right on Sebel’s doorstep along with the great shopping and foodie experiences just down the road in Redcliffe. Or simply indulge in the Sebel’s in-house restaurant before heading back up to the rooftop pool and sundeck to enjoy a cool beverage or two.

#2. Glamping by the sea

Across the shore from iconic Bribie Island and with Pumicestone Passage as a scenic backdrop, the BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort is a must for any Moreton Bay Region caravan and camping trips. Featuring a range of modern, coast-inspired villas, luxury safari tents, a waterpark, tennis court, kids’ playground and playroom, as well as a ‘jumping pillow’, the BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort sure does know how to turn camping into glamping.

Nestled conveniently between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, any tourists (or even locals) can make this new resort a meeting place before heading out on a day trip. Alternatively, if you’d like to stay close by, the award-winning Sandstone Point Hotel is just across the road and offers a menu of premium steaks, woodfired pizzas, pasta dishes and juicy burgers.

Over the bridge, you can frolic in the ocean at one of Bribie Island’s grand beaches, perfect for surfing or relaxing. For the more adventurous types, you can skydive onto Bribie Island or spend a couple of hours jet skiing through Pumicestone Passage – both offering unique views of Bribie Island and Moreton Bay.

#3. Play in the bay

What originally started as one of the Gold Coasts coolest attractions is now open in Redcliffe for a season of slipping, sliding, diving fun! The AquaSplash waterpark is a series of inflatable water games, slides, runways and other great obstacles. Come in for 50-minutes, 2-hours, or a full day of family-friendly watersport activities. Climb the dome and jump into the depths of the Moreton Bay foreshore, try and hold your balance as you speed across the runways or verse your friends in some of AquaSplash’s unique water games!
