Pirate Park Scarborough

#1. Scarborough Beach, Redcliffe

Located on the northern tip of the Redcliffe Peninsula, Scarborough Beach is a delightful destination, with a view of Moreton Island in the distance. This popular ocean view beach,has a number of picnic shelters, BBQ’s and shady trees to make a day out with the family enjoyable and practical.

Children will enjoy a frolic in the gentle bay waters or let them explore Pirate Park with its swings and Pirate themed play equipment.

Bullocky Rest Lake Samsonvale

#2. Bullocky Rest, Warner

Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Samsonvale, Bullocky Rest is a beautiful spot to bring the family together. There is ample parking, picnic tables, BBQ’s and even a playground for the children.

Families will love the wide open spaces, perfect for a game of cricket or take them on a bush walk around the lake. Sadly, swimming is prohibited at Lake Samsonvale, however, you can have a little splash around or register for a fishing permit and throw a line in.

Broadwater D'Aguilar National Park

If you’re keen for a little 4WD adventure, head to Broadwater in the Mount Mee section of D’Aguilar National Park. A natural waterhole along Neurum Creek, Broadwater is set in a delightful bush setting.

There are only two picnic tables at Broadwater, but bring a picnic rug and you can enjoy a fun day splashing around and rock hopping down by the waters edge.
