Locally sourced fish is served in a comfortable venue with 500 metres of unobstructed waterfront views. Function rooms are available at the Sandstone Point Hotel, known as Pumicestone Room and The Cellar, and are well loved for weddings or corporate conferences.

Fancy a few new experiences? Stay at the Sandstone Point Holiday Resort and enjoy all that Sandstone Point has to offer, including a state-of-the-art playpark, petting zoo, and a world-class concert space. Many DJs are hosted here regularly, and big-name singers and bands visit the concert space often. Tuck in at Tempest Seafood Restaurant & Teppanyaki Grill

Tempest Seafood Restaurant is based in Scarborough and boasts a focus on excellence of food and service, and is a must visit for those looking for Redcliffe Fish and Chips. Come in the right season, and the restaurant will have live lobster, mud crabs, and other crustaceans. On the last Thursday of every month, Tempest Seafood Restaurant offers a smorgasbord of seafood options.

For those adventurous few, Tempest Teppanyaki offers Japanese-style grilled fish using local product. All of Tempest’s fish is hand-picked by the Head Chef and includes a wide array of menus, including one for functions. The Teppanyaki room can fit up to 33 people, so book ahead if you’re planning a large function.

Visit the beach at Beachmere Hotel

Beachmere Hotel offers many menu options, among them a seasonal seafood menu. Having worked as a chef for government functions, the Head Chef is a local who has returned to his roots with a dedication to providing quality seafood to the Moreton Bay Region. Sourced locally from Bribie Island to Hervey Bay, meals from the Hotel are hearty and filling. Head Chef Rory Hitchens aims to improve on standard pub fare with diverse seasonings and sides, offering a unique Moreton Bay Fish and Chips experience.

Boasting a family-friendly atmosphere and brand-new interior, the revitalised Beachmere Hotel includes a children’s playground, outdoor area and licenced bar. Wheelchairs have easy access to the area. The restaurant offers daily specials, and the restaurant is open from 10am until late.

A history of good service at The Bel

The Belvedere Hotel in Woody Point is another example of great North Brisbane Fish and Chips. The Belvedere was refurbished in 2016 but retained its original charm that has seen it become a local icon since its establishment as a hotel in 1901. More commonly known as ‘The Bel’, the restaurant offers a seasonal fish and chips menu, available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With scenic views of Moreton Bay, ‘The Bel’ prides itself on servicing families, visitors, and professionals.

Those hoping to hold events need look no further than the available function spaces. Alfresco dining is also available near the kid's play area, and joggers and their dogs are welcome throughout the day.

Open for lunch, dinner and drinks 7 days a week with takeaway and dine-in options, the venue is suitable for all patrons, with adequate wheelchair access, indoor and outdoor seating.
