Family-Friendly Fireworks + Night-Time Extravaganza

From noon on December 31st you can head down to Sandstone Point Hotel to enjoy an afternoon of mouth-watering food stalls, kid’s amusement rides, live music and entertainment, plus so much more! To end the evening of family-friendly entertainment, a fireworks show is scheduled for 8:30 pm before adults can shuffle down to the Pumicestone Room for a James Bond styled 007 cocktail party! As an adults-only event, you will receive a cocktail on arrival, a grazing station, 3-hour beverage package, photo booth, DJ and dance floor, plus a private viewing deck for the midnight fireworks! Yes, that’s right, double the fireworks!

For the 2017-2018 new year, Sandstone Point Hotel teamed up with the Bribie Island and District Community Appeal to put on a synchronised firework spectacular either side of the bridge, so keep your eyes peeled for any updates on whether this will happen again!

Dining: If you’re bringing along your little ones along, we recommend a family picnic across the Bribie Island Bridge to Pumicestone Lions Park. If you’re looking for a romantic evening, consider making a reservation at The Urban Vine in Spinnaker Sound Marina.

Australia Day

Crickey, do you come from a land down under? For an easy-going celebration of our country, head to Brennan Park on Bribie Island or Suttons Beach down in Redcliffe for live music, a host of activities and a fireworks finale at 8 pm. Join in on some beach volleyball, play some cricket and hoof down a bunch of lamingtons in the Lamington Eating Contest. These two family-friendly events encourage you to take a dip in the water, enjoy a snag or two and sing your heart out to some great tunes performed by some local talents. Thanks to the convenient waterside locations of both events, you won’t miss a thing when the fireworks light up the sky in celebration of our true-blue nation.

Redcliffe Forefront: For alternative dining options, Suttons Beach Pavilion is on the waterfront or just down the way you can find Mon Komo Hotel. Alternatively, you can cruise Redcliffe Parade near the Redcliffe Jetty for other restaurants or cafes.
