John Scott Park

Before becoming a designated parkland, John Scott Park in Samford was the grounds of the original Samford Railway Station. When the railway line was closed, the park was named after local cattle breeder and former Pine Rivers Shire Councilman, John Scott. To commemorate its importance to Samford and history as a train station, the park now boasts a large, red train as part of the play equipment. Your little one can either ride along on the back, try their hand at being a conductor and or be a daredevil and climb along the roof. With other great structures, climbing nets, slides and swings, John Scott Park is a great park for all kids, especially those who enjoy a train adventure!

Pine Rivers Park

On the banks of the South Pine River you’ll find one of the most popular parks in the Moreton Bay Region. With wide grassed areas for sports, a large playground and sheltered picnic areas, Pine Rivers Park is a hit for children and adults alike. However, if you’re little one is a fan of trains, there’s no doubt they’ll enjoy this train adventure near Brisbane. One of the best and most unique features of the park is the little cycle train that surrounds a hedge maze on the outer edges of the park. Kids can jump on one of the little push-pedal trains and cruise around the track, spying the best way to make their way through the maze. Not only is it fun, but it will cost them a bit of energy, tuckering them out for a good night’s sleep!
