Museums and Historical Sites

Littlebit of a history buff? Moreton Bay Region has a wonderful cultural history, from indigenous pre-European penal settlement in 1824 to the pioneering families who established the farming and dairy communities of Dayboro, Samford, Woodford and Caboolture. Aside from our rich local history, our region is also home to a large collection of Roman, medieval and ancient Egyptian antiquities, including illuminated manuscripts, stained glass and Roman pottery.
