Summit Sevens Youth Tournament

Summit Sevens, is proud to announce it will be introducing the Largest Youth Rugby Sevens Tournament in the Moreton Bay Region! Commencing on the 7th of February 2020, there will be three rounds with over 200 teams competing for $30,000 worth of prize money and vouchers. With Sevens being one of the most fastest growing sports in the world, there are more and more clubs and schools offering the game right around the country. Rugby Union Sevens (Sevens) is a game for all ages, genders, sizes and skill level which is fun, fast and furious.

Broncos vs Titans

The Moreton Bay Region’s own boutique stadium, Dolphin Stadium, will play host to a blockbuster match between the Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans on Saturday 29th February 2020 when they clash in what will be their last trial before the NRL season officially kicks off.

Bribie Tri

Test your endurance by taking part in the 2020 Bribie Island Triathlon organised by Run Inn Promotions. This 4 race triathlon series has been running for over 30 years, growing from its humble beginnings to become one of Bribie’s biggest sporting events. Suitable for kids, teams, triathlon veterans and first-timers, Race 3 of the Bribie Tri is set to take place on the 15th and 16th of February before Race 4 on the 21st and 22nd of March.

Cliff to Club Ocean Swim

The Cliff to Club Ocean Swim consists of 3 events on Saturday 28 March: 500m, 1km and 2.5km Ocean Swims. The iconic 2.5km Cliff to Club Ocean Swim course starts at Scott’s Point and heads north along the beautiful Woody Point, Margate and Suttons Beach foreshore. The 1km Ocean Swim starts in Margate and is a great option for swimmers who may be new to the sport or feel the 2.5km event may be too far. The 500m Ocean Swim is a great stepping stone for first timers or swimmers and triathletes who prefer the shorter distance.

Moreton Bay Tri

Another triathlon sporting event coming up in the Moreton Bay Region, the Moreton Bay Triathlon takes you for a swim in the protected bay, followed by a fast ride over the Ted Smout Bridge and a flat foreshore run. On Sunday 19 April, the Moreton Bay Tri welcome athletes of all ages and abilities to compete in a fun, friendly environment. From the Kool Kids 7yrs+ races, to the beginners getting a feel for a triathlon, to challenging yourself to take on the longer Olympic or Sprint distance races, there has never been a better time to tri!

Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run

The Moreton Bay Region’s favourite sporting event and Queensland’s most scenic and longest running Fun Run is back with a new and improved course. Offering 4 distances, from 3km to a half marathon, Redcliffe’s Jetty 2 Jetty has a race for everyone to compete in. A cash prize pool is up for grabs to be shared among the elite female and male competitors of the Half Marathon and 10km events. The top 3 male and female winners in each event will share in the prize money. Register now to run the event on Sunday 21st July.

From 15 May 2020 - you may travel a maximum of 150km from your home for non-contact activity such as exploring national parks, hiking, visiting dog parks, dining-in at restaurants (10 patrons at a time) and more.
