Valori Espresso & Gallery was recently crowned the overall winner of the 2019 Forkies Eat & Drink Awards, recognising the Scarborough Coffee Shop as offering the best caffeine fix and best customer service in the whole Moreton Bay Region.
So, it’s safe to say that co-owner Tim Bates knows a thing or two about good coffee and running a successful business.
Tim has called Moreton Bay Region home for the past three years after travelling the world in a few different professions, before purchasing Valori and dedicating his life to making “warm drinks” for the people of Moreton Bay (which they thank him for).
Tim shares with us his 'Top 6' foodie experiences to be had in the Moreton Bay Region.
“Chat to the people working in hospitality - ask your bartender or waiter where they love to eat and drink. You’ll find yourself diving into a rabbit hole of new and amazing places to discover, from people working in the biz.”
“I’m a sucker for fresh seafood! With the restaurant located next to the trawlers at Scarborough, it doesn’t get any fresher than Tempest. My go-to order would have to be the seafood platter and a bottle of wine to enjoy with friends.”
“This festival is the highlight of my year - a whole street dedicated to food and wine is my idea of paradise. The variety of stalls, along with the local businesses that get involved and host pop-up events creates such a great vibe and a overall fantastic weekend.”
“Valori proudly uses local peninsula roasters Neli Coffee in Clontarf. Ed and Janelle provide the community with an ethically sourced, great local product. I believe the best coffees come from the best ingredients from our backyard.”
“Naturally, I’m going say Valori. My team and I work so hard every day, to show up and put everything we have into each and every coffee we serve to our customers. We love our coffee and we’re glad that our regulars seem to as well.”
“This is my go-to for all of my fruit and vegetables, especially if I’m looking for mangoes. This huge warehouse always stocks fresh and super cheap fruit and veg direct from local farmers.”
