Lovely area to sit outside. Coffee and cake was well priced and delicious. Staff were very friendly. Only a couple of plants available for sale when we visited which was a bit disappointing given we'd heard good things about the extra things there for sale. Cafe is dated as is the menu, but I think that's the idea. Nice place to stop for a drink and feed on the way through.
The place isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside you are greeted by a lovely husband and wife team who are friendly and courteous and lovely home cooked country style cuisine. Out back is a small and neat garden with chairs and tables to enhance your dining experience. Oh, and the take away scones with jam and cream are to die for.
We were passing through Woodford and decided to stop at this cafe for lunch on a particularly hot day. We picked a nice shady spot in the garden, which had a really good feel about it. Food and service was excellent. Even though we had ordered cold drinks, the owner came out a little later with some nicely chilled water and glasses which was really appreciated given the heat.
Located in Woodfords main street, the cafe is in walking distance to the Windows of Woodford public art display and the Leopard Tank!
