Welcoming pets of all shapes and sizes, Running Creek Parklands is a dog-friendly camping area near Brisbane. With several campsites available, animal feeding sessions and generator use allowed, Running Creek Parklands is the perfect place to stop and stay in the Moreton Bay Region.
Dogs are the main camping companion, however, the team at Running Creek have seen some pretty amazing and unusual pets, so if you’d like to bring your pet along, but it’s not a canine, just email or call and they’ll let you know of any special requirements necessary.
Under Moreton Bay Regional Council law, all pets are to be contained or on a lead at all times, but there are spaces available to let them off-leash for a game of fetch – just ask the team where to go!
Horses are NOT permitted inside the parklands and please ensure your pet is tick protected.
Children are free to ride bikes, fly kites and play as many games in the grounds as they like, however, they are not permitted to visit the stable yards or the showers without adult supervision. Running Creek also advises that children be supervised if riding their bike along the track. The waterway is a great place to take a dip or take a paddle, however, after heavy rain, extra precautions are recommended.
Generators are permitted during certain hours only: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm ONLY.
