Catering to un-licenced boaters, no experience is necessary, and all safety gear is included – all you need is 11 friends and a sense of adventure (and the food!).
Available for full or half day hire, this Bribie Island BBQ Boat Hire option is great for parties, whether it’s a bachelors day out, ladies night or a birthday!
Half Day: 7 am – 12 pm OR 12 pm – 5 pm | from $270

For some fun with friends and family, spend a day on the bay at Bribie Island. Take advantage of the BBQ Boat Hire service to catch up, swim, fish, play and, of course, barbecue.
Make a day of it with a full day BBQ boat hire and stop in along the western coastline at Gallagher Point Camping Area, Poverty Creek, or Mission Point, all perfect for accessing the heart of Bribie Island National Park, or shallower shore swimming for little ones.
Take a half day cruise to simply relax and catch up for a couple hours before heading back to shore and exploring the rest of Bribie Island’s unique stores or hidden gems.

Each Bribie Island BBQ boat hire service comes fully equipped with a barbeque and table (2 each for the 12-person boat), along with padded cushion seating, toilets and shade covers. They also have fully functional toilets, are accessible for prams and wheelchairs and carry 20L of drinking water. You will also have access to a sink and bench to prepare your BBQ lunch.
All safety equipment, gas and fuel are included in the price of hire. Additional items such as fishing roads, bait, ice and other bits and pieces you may need for fishing are available for hire at an additional cost.
Can I BYO alcohol? Yes.
What is the alcohol limit? The same as on our roads – 0.05%.
What licences are required to operate Bribie Island Boat Charters boats? Only the 60hp 5-person vessel requires a licence. National and international power-boat licences are recognised and accepted.
How old do I have to be to hire a boat? 18 years or older.
