Bribie Island Fishing Boat Hire

Made of tough polypropylene, the Bribie Island fishing boats for hire are truly unsinkable. Stable and reliable thanks to 4-stroke Mercury motors, the fishing boats feature marine carpet on the floor, cushioned seating, and a shade canopy for your comfort.

Offering a relaxed day or night of fishing near Brisbane on the Pumicestone Passage, you can bring along up to 5 friends to enjoy the catch with you.

Hourly Rate: $50 first hour | from $20 each hour thereafter

Half Day: 7 am – 12 pm OR 12 pm – 5 pm | from $100

Full Day: 7 am – 5 pm | from $150

Evening: 5 pm – 10 pm |from $140 | Boat licence required

60hp Fishing Boat Hire

Made of the same tough polypropylene as their regular fishing boats, “Snapper” is the safest boat you could find for a great day out on Pumicestone Passage or beyond into Moreton Bay.

Stable, comfortable and fitted with a powerful 60hp Yamaha outboard, the Snapper, although boasting a capacity of 5, if best suited for 4 people or fewer. Snapper is a popular hire fishing boat for exploring Bribie Island and Moreton Bay Region but is only available for licenced boaters. It is equipped with safety and communication equipment.

Boat licence required

Half Day: 7 am – 12 pm OR 12 pm – 5 pm | from $150

Full Day: 7 am – 5 pm | from $250


Can I BYO alcohol? Yes.

What is the alcohol limit? The same as on our roads – 0.05%.

What licences are required to operate Bribie Island Boat Charters boats? Only the 60hp 5-person vessel requires a licence. National and international power-boat licences are recognised and accepted.

How old do I have to be to hire a boat? 18 years or older.

Fishing Bribie Island

There is great fishing at Bribie Island – flathead, bream, mackerel, tailor and snapper being just a few of the most sought-after fish. Mud crabs and blue-swimmers also abound – you’ll always see the tell-tale crab floats out on the Passage.
