G'Day Adventure Tours has organised an all-inclusive Sunshine Coast and Hinterland 4WD day trip tour experience. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Glass House Mountains, take a swim in a beautiful waterfall and feel the sand between your toes as you walk toward the Point Cartwright Lighthouse for a view of the ocean. From $129 including pick-up, lunch and drop-off, you could drive, swim and walk among the beauty of the Sunshine Coast and Hinterlands.
Daily pick-ups from your accommodation in Brisbane, Moreton Bay or Sunshine Coast are scheduled for 7 am and 10 am - it's your choice!
From your accommodation, we'll make our way to Mary Cairncross Reserve in Maleny for a rainforest walk. This is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Next on the agenda is to take in the scenic view of the Glass House Mountains. Also visible from this lookout (on a good weather day) is Sunshine Coast suburbs Caloundra and Maroochydore. If you're lucky, you'll even see Brisbane and Moreton Island.
While in Maleny, we'll stop by Gardner's Falls. A hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands, Gardner's Falls is a beautiful waterfall open to the public for swimming. With several rock pools of varying water levels, you'll be sure to find a pool size that suits your comfort.
Our last stop will be at Point Cartwright beach. Stretching only 100m, Point Cartwright beach is known for its lighthouse and surfing point break.
Lunch will also be provided on this tour. At no extra cost, you will receive a healthy lunch wrap with fruit, water and soft drink.
Mary Cairncross Reserve
The Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is a 55-hectare subtropical rainforest located in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast. The well-defined, self-guided rainforest tracks span 1.3 - 1.7 km and offer a diverse interaction with plant and animal life.
Glass House Mountains
Protected by Queensland National Parks, the Glass House Mountains are formed by thirteen hills breaking the coastal landscape of the Sunshine Coast. In 2006, the Glass House Mountains National Landscape was added to the Australian National Heritage List and in 2009 they were added to the Q150 Icons of Queensland.
Bounded by grassy hills and native forest, Gardner's Falls makes for a great picnic spot or swimming hole for the whole family. Right below the fall is the largest freshwater pool and makes for great exercise or relaxation.
From Point Cartwright's un-patrolled beach, you'll be met with spectacular views of Mooloolaba, Mount Coolum, and the Mooloolah River mouth. The most significant piece of this beach is the Point Cartwright Lighthouse which is the third light to guide ships into Moreton Bay and has been operating since 1897.
