If there's one thing the Moreton Bay Region knows how to do well - it's hosting some of the biggest, best and most unique events and festivals in the country!

With a packed calendar of events all year round, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From major festivals, sporting competitions, arts and cultural celebrations, live music and concerts through to an array of family-friendly and community events staged around the Moreton Bay Region.

Samford & Surrounds Arts Trails & Open Studios

Indulge in a day in the countryside with the stimulation of seeing some of the 20+ talented local artists in their studios and shared spaces - meet the makers, learn about their stories and techniques and enjoy some exceptional art, all whilst experiencing our regions natural beauty.

Abbey Medieval Festival

Abbey Medieval Festival is the largest celebration of medieval culture, 600 to 1600AD in Europe and the Middle East, in the southern hemisphere. Held every July, the festival delivers authentic medieval experiences from the Medieval Banquets, a Kids Dig It! Medieval Family Fun Week, to the main 2 day mega medieval event, where history comes alive thanks to re-enactment encampments, workshops, displays and the highlight, the Joust! Bonfire Night

With Winter well and truly upon us in July, there is no denying that a little winter warmth is essential and Sandstone Point Hotel’s Annual Bonfire Night is the hottest place to be. Offering Brisbane’s biggest bonfires, fire twirlers, kids rides, food stalls, live music, FIREWORKS plus much more will have you feeling hot hot hot.

Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival

Foodies rejoice! Redcliffe’s very own foodie festival is coming back in 2023. Get ready to eat, drink and enjoy all weekend long at the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival, with something to satisfy everyone’s palate.

This weekend-long celebration hosted at Apex Park, Woody Point will feature cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, pop-up bars and dining precincts, tastings, international flavours, seminars, live entertainment and more.

With Moreton Bay as its stunning backdrop, the festival winds its way along the foreshore where foodies will enjoy top-notch bites and sips, along with a jam-packed program of entertainment.

Welcome to Moreton Bay Region, a hidden gem of flavour on your doorstep. Come with us on a month-long culinary journey of local produce, masterclasses and events – there’s no shortage of hidden delicious gems to explore.

Redcliffe KiteFest

It’s the annual event that draws over 40,000 attendees across one weekend and it’s back in 2023! Redcliffe KiteFest is without a doubt the most popular family-friendly event on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Drawing in international, interstate and local professional kite flyers, Redcliffe KiteFest also features a jam-packed program of live entertainment that over the years has seen acts like Baby Shark, Paw Patrol, Justice League and PJ Masks.

Strawberry & Dessert Festival

With over 40% of Queensland strawberries coming from our local Moreton Bay Region, our slice of South East Queensland paradise has the perfect excuse to revel in all things Fragaria vesca so bring the family, kick-back and join in the sweet festivities at Sandstone Point Hotel.

Oyster & Seafood Festival

Woodford Folk Festival

Unleash your inner bohemian as ancient cultures converge into a sensory experience like no other! Woodford Folk Festival is an eclectic annual six-day event held from 27 December to 1 January and it’s a Queensland institution. Program TBA.
