With a packed calendar of events all year round, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From major festivals, sporting competitions, arts and cultural celebrations, live music and concerts through to an array of family-friendly and community events staged around the Moreton Bay Region.

Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4x4 Expo

The 2020 Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4×4 Expo is one of the largest outdoor adventure events in the state. Browse and compare the latest caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, 4×4’s, vehicles, accessories and more, plus discover new holiday and touring destinations, all in the one convenient location. There’s plenty to see across the weekend, including great entertainment for the whole family.

When: 14 – 16 February, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Redcliffe Festival of Sails

Always wonder what you can do on your Easter long weekend? Well, be shore you don’t miss the spectacular Good Friday event, Redcliffe Festival of Sails. Each year, Suttons Beach is turned into a hub of family-friendly activities including the usual food vendors and market stalls but with a special twist! The area is a great viewing spot to catch the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race as well as the landing grounds for the skydiving Easter Bunny!

The Planting Festival

Get back in touch with your roots toiling the soil from Friday, 1st to Sunday, 3rd May 2020 at The Planting Festival Woodford, an environmental conservation tradition which has been bringing the local community and likeminded visitors together, annually for the last 24 years.

The Planting is a spirited, family-friendly Woodford Folk Federation (QFF) event dedicated to sustainable initiatives and environmental nurturing of the Woodfordia site for the enjoyment of future generations.

Redcliffe KiteFest

It’s the annual event that draws over 40,000 attendees across one weekend and it’s back in 2020! Redcliffe KiteFest is without a doubt the most popular family-friendly event on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Drawing in international, interstate and local professional kite flyers, Redcliffe KiteFest also features a jam-packed program of live entertainment that over the years has seen acts like Baby Shark, Paw Patrol, Justice League and PJ Masks. Keep your eyes out for the 2020 headliner announcement!

Jetty 2 Jetty

The longest-running Fun Run in Queensland and, let’s be honest, one of the most scenic in Brisbane, the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run registrations open Australia Day weekend! Be sure to start training now, there’s four race distances to choose from – 3km, 5km, 10km and the 21km half marathon. No matter if this is your first ever fun run, or you're running the half marathon, the J2J is an event for all ages and levels.

Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta

The 2020 Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta is set to once again shake up the region! Every year the event aims to encourage participation, raise cultural awareness and celebrate and embrace our vibrant multicultural diversity in the Moreton Bay Region. Each year the Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta brings together local, national and international acts to showcase their cultural dance, music and performance from their nations.

Strawberry & Dessert Festival

With over 40% of Queensland strawberries coming from our local Moreton Bay Region, our slice of South East Queensland paradise has the perfect excuse to revel in all things Fragaria vesca so bring the family, kick-back and join in the sweet festivities at Sandstone Point Hotel.

Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival

Foodies rejoice! Redcliffe’s very own foodie festival is coming back in 2020. Get ready to eat, drink and enjoy all weekend long at the Moreton Bay Food & Wine Festival, with something to satisfy everyone’s palate.

This weekend-long celebration hosted along the Redcliffe Parade will feature cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, pop-up bars and dining precincts, tastings, international flavours, seminars, live entertainment and a huge fireworks show on Saturday night.

With Moreton Bay as its stunning backdrop, the festival winds its way along the Redcliffe Foreshore where foodies will enjoy top-notch bites and sips, along with a jam-packed program of entertainment.

Oyster Festival Shucking Oysters Sandstone Point Hotel Visit Moreton Bay Region

Oyster & Seafood Festival

Celebrate oysters, seafood and wine at the Sandstone Point Hotel 2019 north of Brisbane Oyster Festival by Pumicestone Passage on Saturday, 19 October.

The sprawling bayside venue will serve up family-friendly fun and entertainment with plenty to do and see for all ages, along with trawler fresh seafood, inspired oyster dishes, boutique wines and delicious drinks to delight the palate.

Woodford Folk Festival
