Searching for a relaxing paradise by the sea? Just 40 minutes north of Brisbane, Redcliffe is a thriving seaside village situated on the beautiful Moreton Bay Marine Park shoreline.

The Redcliffe Peninsula village, began as one of the earliest settlements in Queensland. In fact John Oxley and Lt Henry Miller attempted to oversee the establishment of a new northern penal colony, being unsuccessful the settlement was moved to a new location which is now the states capital, Brisbane! Prior to this settlement, local indigenous Australian custodians inhabited the peninsula, taking advantage of the bountiful food found in and around the bay.

Today people flock to Redcliffe looking to soak up the sunshine and relax on the beaches. But that's not all Redcliffe has to offer, the seaside village now boasts a diversity of experiences, from sumptuous dining and seafood, live footy matches and on the bay encounters to performing arts, historical trails, festivals and events. The seaside village is also home to the region's award winning Redcliffe KiteFest, when the skies become a rainbow of colour every August!
