Book Reading with Shannon Horsfall

“You’re never are too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child”. Dr Seuss. These school holidays bring your children to hear local author Shannon Horsfall read to them. Shannon is a children’s author and illustrator based on Bribie Island…but living in fairyland. Her head is a mess of stories, pictures and the occasional cake recipe! Although she is not young, she is very much a child or maybe just immature - depending on how you look at it. Shannon has published picture books including Was Not Me and Nomax! which was shortlisted for Speech Pathology Australia's Book of the Year. She has illustrated Dear Santa, My Unicorn Farts Glitter and Once I Munched a Mango for the Books for Little Queenslanders, published by the State Library of Queensland. This event will be a part of the Bribie - your stories, our stories exhibition where we are turning our museum over to you. Bribie - your stories, our stories is a place to share, learn and laugh about all that we know and love about this place. Free event. Ages 5+ Image credit: Image courtesy of Shannon Horsfall.
