Community Christmas Lunch

For over 10 years the Redcliffe Community Christmas Lunch has been helping spread Christmas cheer to those who may have fallen on hard times.

Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, and Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT), in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, Redcliffe Uniting Church and local businesses, are calling out for people to get into the Christmas spirit by helping those less fortunate enjoy a merry Christmas this year.

Help Spread the Cheer

This wonderful Christmas miracle wouldn’t be possible without the help of the many people who contribute to making the Community Christmas possible.

“As this is a free event, it relies on the generosity of local businesses and organisations. By sponsoring a table you are giving people Christmas, a day that would otherwise pass unnoticed,” explained MBRIT CEO, Shane Newcombe.

Members of the community can also contribute by volunteering a small amount of their time on Christmas Day at the event.

A Jolly Surprise for the Kids

Santa will make a very special appearance on the day, with each child receiving a Christmas gift from the man in red. Members of the community can donate presents by leaving them underneath the Community Christmas Tree located at

Who are the Community Christmas Guests?

More than 300 lonely, or disadvantaged people from Redcliffe and surrounding areas will enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch, festive music, games for the kids, and plenty of Christmas fun. Free guest transport will also be provided to and from the lunch if required.

By supporting the Redcliffe Community Christmas Lunch, residents and businesses will help to make a difference in the lives of many families in the Moreton Bay Region this festive season.

“Whether it’s lending a hand on the day, sponsoring a table or simply leaving a gift underneath the Community Christmas Tree, I encourage everyone to get involved,” urged Moreton Bay Regional Council Acting Mayor Councillor Mike Charlton.

The Community Christmas Lunch is attended by those most in need who are referred to MBRIT from local community groups and agencies. Help make a Christmas miracle come true by donating a gift, sponsoring a table, or lending a hand on the day.
