The streets we live in

As we drive in our cars and walk around our neighbourhood we are surrounded by signposts to our history.

Many of our street names honour the people and the events which have shaped our communities - fitting tributes to men and women whose courage and endurance provided the foundations for today’s prosperous communities.

Through our Moreton Bay Regional Council Heritage Collection, The streets we live in connects us directly to the farmers, explorers and entrepreneurs who shaped our region.

Take the time to absorb the individual stories that have created our communities.

From creek-side camps and cab drivers, to beach refreshments and devastating fires, get to know the neighbourhood in a whole new way!

Exhibition developed by Moreton Bay Regional Council.

A special thanks to the local historical societies and historians who have assisted in the development of this exhibition.

The streets we live in is on display at Redcliffe Museum from 26 May 2018 to 05 August 2018.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 10.00am - 4.00pm.
