Celebrate oysters, seafood and wine at the Sandstone Point Hotel 2020 north of Brisbane Oyster Festival by Pumicestone Passage on Saturday, 17 October.
The sprawling bayside venue will serve up family-friendly fun and entertainment with plenty to do and see for all ages, along with trawler fresh seafood, inspired oyster dishes, boutique wines and delicious drinks to delight the palate.
The Oyster Festival will give adults a shucking good education to wow sea-foodie friends in no time with:
Park yourself in front of the Main Stage for a fantastic live line up!
The Oyster Festival will also see the you-tube sensations Baby Shark (doo doo doo doo) perform for all the little ones
For more information, visit the Sandstone Point Hotel website.
Sandstone Point Hotel’s lawn will be awash in oyster, seafood and wine stalls as far as the eye can sea, showcasing Australian-wide produce and a variety of seafood themed food stalls. The Pearl Bar – exclusive to Sandstone Point’s Oyster Festival – will be open for business and 3 trawlers will also be moored at the Sandstone Point jetty filled to the bream with fresh seafood to take home.
There will also be live musical entertainment, and a fireworks finale to top off the evening.
The land upon which Sandstone Point Hotel now sits was once a fully-operational Oyster Farm. In homage to its past, the venue’s restored open-air, dining area, the Oyster Shed (originally erected in 1875) is fully operational all year round, dishing up oyster and seafood delights for guests to graze on as they overlook the water.
