Join artist and traditional custodian of Jinibara Country, Jason Murphy, for a workshop making unique mono stamps and applying them to bright colour backings. Learn narratives and create line drawing symbols. Look through other samples from the artist’s work and hear all about his experience and techniques.
Jason is a traditional custodian of Jinibara Country. He regularly facilitates workshops across the state and features in galleries, collectives and programs including Magpie Goose, Museum of Brisbane, and Woodford Folk Festival. Jason holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours), Masters of Education and Visual Arts, and is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Visual Art. Jason’s artworks depict the narratives of people and place.
Jason will be holding a Jinibara storytelling session just prior to this workshop starting at 1:00 PM.
These activities are free but do require bookings.
