With interactive displays, daily steam train rides, beautiful gardens, 70 plus buildings to explore and 110,000 objects to view, it’s a day trip the whole family will enjoy. See how local families lived their lives a century ago, from homestead to one bedroom cottages. Why not operate a hand water pump or explore the region's criminal history at the prison. It’s a day of fascinating finds. The Village also hosts a café and tourism information centre.
Caboolture Aquatic Centre is more than just a ‘dip in the pool’. The facility has a fully equipped gymnasium and café to enjoy a nice cuppa. There is also a network of sports fields, bike paths and bushlands for adventure that surround the aquatic centre.
Pack a picnic basket and enjoy the sights and sounds of Caboolture's Centenary Lakes. Beautifully landscaped with large tree covered grassed areas and lakes, the parklands is a haven for local water birds and aquatic plants. The park can be enjoyed via a network of pathways and bridges, looping around the lake system and surrounding parklands, making it great for push bikes, scooters and wheelchairs.
Surrounded by farmlands, mountain ranges and national parks, Caboolture is ideally situated as the gateway for Sunday drivers. For a beautiful two hour driving adventure, drive north on Damian Road from Caboolture through Beerburrum, turning left at Beerwah to Peachester. From Peachester follow the Kilcoy-Beerwah Road until you reach the D’Aguilar Highway Intersection. Turn right towards Woodford, taking aright handturn at D’Aguilar onto Mt Mee Road. At Dayboro, take the Dayboro Road to Petrie.
On this trip you can take in the beautiful picturesque forestry and mountains of Beerburrum Forest Reserve, Glass House Mountains National Park, Peachester State Forest and Mount Mee Forest which surround the western Caboolture region.
