Accounting for 33% of Australia’s strawberry production, you can get your hands on freshly picked strawberries right here in the Moreton Bay Region. Or better yet, get back to basics and pick your own on this strawb-licious trail!

Elimbah – Rolin Farms

Does anything taste better than a warm and juicy strawberry freshly picked from the fields? Enjoy a day out in the winter sun with pick you own strawberries at Rolin Farms. Strawberry picking has long been a great activity for family bonding, where children can participate, and parents can encourage healthy eating habits in a fun and exciting activity. Stop by the shop to pick up your wooden basket for picking before heading out to the fields either with children in tow or occupied in the playground. Parking is available on the farm for everyone, including buses and caravans.

Wamuran – Luvaberry

A family farm with a focus on organic and sustainable farming methods, LuvaBerry is a small but thriving strawberry farm based in Wamuran in the Moreton Bay Region. Known for their war on waste, LuvaBerry Farms produce 1.5kg bags of frozen strawberries so that their damaged but still deliciously edible strawberries are not thrown out.

With this ‘no waste’ attitude, Luvaberry’s Frozen Strawberries are packaged with jammers, cooks, bakers and restauranteurs in mind. You can shop online, book a farm gate tour or you can join a peckish picking session.

Caboolture – Markets

Every Sunday morning from 6:00 am, Caboolture Markets are a thriving hub of bargain shoppers, collectable hunters and fresh food junkies. With a country town feel, thousands of people attend this market every week to pick up some local produce, browse the 500 plus stalls and enjoy children’s amusements. If you’re looking to delight your tastebuds with something sweet, there are plenty of fresh fruit vendors with punnets of strawberries ready to go.

Of all the markets in Moreton, the Redcliffe Jetty Market is held in the most enviable location. With no second hand or bric-a-brac items, this market is a cornucopia of home décor, fashion, exotic imports, trendy crafts and fresh produce.
