Samford Arts Trail

Get excited as the Samford Arts Trail is set to return for the 2022 winter season. Throughout each weekend of June, you can be sure to expect an abundance of artists showcase their craftsmanship across various venues in Samford & surrounds.

Explore endless displays of artistic talent at studios and galleries along the trail. Or get hands-on and express your creative flare at one of the many crafty workshops on offer. You can even take the guesswork out of your day and follow one of their guides. Whichever option you choose, this event is a must-add to your calendar this winter!

When: Every weekend in June 2022 10AM-4PM

Bonfire Night

Mark your calendar, 2nd of July at Sandstone Point Hotel’s annual Bonfire Night is scheduled to be a firecracker!

Suitable for all, they’re bringing the heat this winter with bonfires, fire twirlers, kids rides, food stalls, live music, fireworks and more! This event is sure to be explosive as each year it has been a sell-out. Make sure you get your tickets to the hottest place in Moreton Bay during the coolest time of the year.

Abbey Medieval Festival

Throw it back in time to the medieval days and head to the Abbey Medieval Festival this July. Set to impress any fan of ancient history, you’ll experience authentic re-enactments, pigs roasting on spits, mock battles, music and more. Dress up and be immersed among the kings, vikings and fair maidens. Getting there is easy too with public transport options and onsite parking available.

When: 9th & 10th July 2022

Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run

It’s time to tie up your laces and get ready to run as the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run returns this winter! Meeting at Pelican Park on Sunday 17th July 2022, you can run, jog, walk or wheel your way along the stunning peninsula. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned runner, there is an option for all with five race categories:

  • 3km
  • 5km
  • 10km
  • 10km wheelchair
  • Half Marathon (21km)

If you choose to compete in either the 10km or half marathon event, there is a cash prize pool up for grabs! The top three female and male competitors of each event share the prize money.

Registrations are now open. Note – June 29th is the last day to get your personalised race bib and late entry fees occur after July 3rd.

Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival

Guess what’s back in 2022… After last year’s cancellation (with no thanks to COVID) we are so excited that 2022’s rendition of the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is set to go ahead in full steam. Feasting is encouraged as you experience pop-up bars, sampling of local produce, cooking demos, live music, talks, and plenty of savvy b!

Fairy Camp

Perfect for the winter school holidays, Fairy Camp returns the weekend of 24th-27th June. Head to Mt Sampson for a weekend filled with magical crafts and enchanted workshops. All are welcome with activities designed for both the young and the adults.

Expect meditations, sound healing, creative fairy workshops, mystic talks and more. You can camp overnight in your own tent or join other fair folk in the community hall for a slumber party (for those aged 16+). Tickets to Fairy Camp are limited so get in quick!

See the Warriors play in Moreton Bay

Warriors v Sharks

Watch the Warriors tackle Cronulla on 12th June at 6:15pm. Grab yourself a cold-one and enjoy the footy as the sun sets for the first Sunday home game at Moreton Daily Stadium.

Warriors v Panthers

Follow it up the next weekend at Moreton Daily Stadium where the Warriors take on the highly competitive Penrith Panthers. Pop on your jersey and head to the game on 18th June at 5:30pm.
