Riders of all ages and abilities will be able to get their adrenalin pumping when they take part in a fully guided off-road adventure tour with the team from Glasshouse Mountain Trail Bike Tours.
The company is based in Donnybrook in the northern parts of Moreton Bay and has been operating since 2017, providing a unique attraction for both tourists and locals to enjoy.
Instructors have more than 30 years of off-road riding experience, so you can relax knowing you are in safe hands.
The hinterland provides some of the country’s best terrain for riders, as the landscape was formed by volcanic activity approximately 25-27 million years ago.
With more than 120 kilometres of off-road trails to explore, riders will have a blast putting the pedal to the metal and conquering the steep hills and bendy tracks.
The tours leave from Donnybrook in Moreton Bay and is just a short ride to the hinterland.
Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, there are tours and packages to suit every person.
Your experienced guide will select the trails and the riding pace for the day, suitable to your skill and experience level.
All the guides are locals, and classify the hinterland as their own backyard, so you can bet they know the best routes, trails and views to ensure you have an awesome day out on the bikes with your buddies.
Groups are capped at six riders.
Each tour lasts for six hours and includes pitstops for morning tea and lunch at local cafes, so don’t forget to bring your card or some cash with you.
Glasshouse Mountain Trail Bike Tours operate under an approved Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services Tour permit, meaning all their bikes are registered and insured.
Due to insurance requirements, all riders must be over 25 years old and hold a valid motorcycle licence. If you hold a learner’s motorcycle licence or an international licence, you will also be allowed to join in the fun.
Beginners will ride a Yamaha TTR230 or something similar at a cost of $350 per rider.
For those who are more experienced, you will get to ride a late model KTM, BETA or GAS GAS Enduro Bike at a cost of $440 per rider.
The cost of fuel and insurance is included in the tour price.
