The Pine Rivers Art Gallery is a dynamic North Brisbane gallery exhibition space with a strong commitment to representing local arts in the Moreton Bay Region.
The venue hosts a diverse program of North Brisbane contemporary art exhibitions, from solo exhibitions to large collaborative events. With every exhibition the gallery strives to engage the community in meaningful ways.
The vision of the Pine Rivers Art Gallery is to provide a facility that serves as a vibrant and creative centre for the arts, for the use and enjoyment of the Moreton Bay Region community and beyond.
Every Monday the gallery hosts a free adults painting group where participants with a range of experience come together to paint and be inspired by the current exhibition. Painters of all levels of skill are welcome. Participants are required to BYO paints (not oil-based paints) and the necessary art equipment.
The venue also offers Gallery and Museum Explorers (G.A.M.E.) activities for kids.
The Pine Rivers Art Gallery actively promotes creative opportunities for established and emerging artists of the region.The Window Gallery is an accessible space for local artists to exhibit their work. With a one month turnaround, the front window is always a dynamic space to keep an eye on.
With a commitment to supporting the local community, the Pine Rivers Art Gallery hosts a small shop to promote marketing opportunities for established and emerging artists of the Moreton Bay Region.
An impressive display of high quality, hand crafted wares are available to buy and commissions are welcome. Affordable for everyone, the gallery shop is an ideal place to find that special gift.
There are more than 100 artists represented in the gallery shop producing a variety of handmade merchandise including ceramics, textiles, books and jewellery. There is also a wide range of origami paper and instructions to satisfy creative needs.
The Pine Rivers Art Gallery is conveniently located next to the Strathpine Community Centre – home of the Moreton Bay Region annual Art Awards and Youth Art Awards – at 7/199 Gympie Road, Strathpine.
The centre is a short walk from the Strathpine train station and the Strathpine Westfield shopping centre.
There is also a public bus stop right outside the door on Gympie Road.
