Scarborough Harbour Brewing Co., Bird Opassage Parade, Scarborough QLD, Australia

Featuring spectacular views over Moreton Bay and the trawlers in the marina, Scarborough Harbour Brewing Co is North Brisbane's newest brewery where beer lovers can enjoy a pint or two, and foodies can treat their tastebuds to locally sourced seafood.

This two-level brewery and restaurant opened in early 2022, with the owner’s keen to expand the burgeoning brewery scene currently sweeping southeast Queensland into Moreton Bay.

All the craft beers on tap are brewed onsite, and the menu consists of fresh seafood which was been caught thanks to Morgans located next door.

Carefully crafted brews

Under the careful eye of their master brewer, Scarborough Harbour Brewing Co have created four thirst-quenching beers which pay tribute to the Moreton Bay Region.

Downstairs in the Engine Room is where the magic happens. Just like an engine room on a ship, this area is the powerhouse of the brewery and where all the beer on tap is produced.

The Reef Point Lager has a crisp, clean and refreshing taste, and is named after its namesake location at the tip of the Peninsula.

Thirteen Hills XPA is a fruity, extremely tasty and low bitterness hazy extra pale ale that pays homage to the thirteen hills that can be seen behind Deception Bay, known as the Glasshouse Mountains.

The Bay West Coast IPA has a malty, resinous aroma and a full-on malt and hop flavour explosion that is balanced out by the medium-high bitterness.

Finally, the Marina Mid-Strength is a deceptively full flavoured mid-strength that possesses an enticing resinous pine aroma that is derived from the blend of ale and biscuit malt. It is finished off with a citrusy floral spice.

If you cannot make up your mind which blend is right for you, you can always try a tasting paddle which will help you discover your new favourite beer.

While the beer is always flowing, the owners also have an extensive drinks menu which also includes wines, spirits, ginger beer, cider and a small range of canned and tapped cocktails.

Dinner on the Upper Deck

Foodies can enjoy an ice-cold craft beer and a tasty meal on the Upper Deck, which just like a ship, has an airy feel that provides you with endless views of the bay and the rugged mountains in the distance.

Catering for casual catchups and larger celebrations, the Upper Deck features plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

On the menu you will find plenty of snacks and share plates, as well as salads, seafood and burgers.

The kitchen serves both the Upper Deck and the Engine Room.
