PLEASE NOTE: The Belvedere ARE OPEN!
The go-to venue for phenomenal sunset views and all celebrations big and small, The Belvedere Hotel, lovingly nicknamed ‘The Bel’ by regulars, is the home of celebrations and one of the best restaurants Redcliffe peninsula has to offer welcoming families, friend groups, solo ‘me time’ visitors, and professionals keen to escape the city for a waterside reprieve.
The iconic waterside dining, bar and functions venue has cultivated a long-standing reputation for being the place to meet, eat and drink on the Redcliffe Peninsula.
The seasonal Modern Australian menu uses only fresh ingredients to create delicious dishes of various persuasions – from entrees, mains and desserts, to share plates.
As one of the best restaurants Redcliffe Peninsula has to offer, The Bel gives you an almost unlimited choice when it comes to dining areas. Dine in the shade beneath high ceilings in one of the indoor Pavilion spaces, or grab a table on one of the outdoor decks with water views, perfect in every season.
The Pavilion is ideal for both small and large group get-togethers. Its 360-degree bar towards the front of the establishment is a great spot to enjoy a cold one as you watch the sunset.
The Bel is one of a handful of restaurant venues on the east coast of Australia that guests can watch the sunset in the west.
The sunset from here was also voted one of the Top 10 Sunsets in Australia by National Geographic.
And... rumour has it that the ghost of Mr Snook haunts the upstairs rooms of the hotel, who was one of the first owners to turn it into a pub (previously a boarding house).
A kids playground is situated within one of the al fresco dining areas. If you’re planning a family meal out, be sure to grab a table in the vicinity so you can dine while the kids play within eyesight.
A kids menu is available, along with amusements for children.
The Bel runs various unique one-off and recurring events throughout the year. Check the venue’s website to find out what is coming up.
The modern food and bar precinct offers quality casual dining, entertainment, and function spaces:
The Belvedere is steeped in history. The first incarnation of The Belvedere was a 1890s boarding house. Later, in 1901, it changed hands and was converted into a pub & hotel. Its latest revamp in 2016, gifted the venue a bigger restaurant kitchen and centrally-positioned bar and coffee bar, amongst other elements.
