For caravan parks near Brisbane’s northside, perfect for bird watchers, water sport lovers and boating enthusiasts keen for a tranquil getaway from the big smoke, look no further than Toorbul Caravan Park, the waterside caravanning spot next to Pumicestone Passage with views from the adjacent foreshore park across to Bribie Island.
Located just off the Esplanade, one street across from the foreshore park off Pumicestone Passage, Toorbul Caravan Park is an ideal caravanner and campers escape, situated away from the vacationing crowds known to descend upon Bribie Island during peak holiday season.
The caravan park features a large amenities block and 21 powered sites suitable for caravans and tents, as well as 1 cabin and 1 (2 bedroom) cottage. It is recommended that bookings made well in-advance to ensure availability of a site.
A boat ramp, fishing supplies, convenience store and tavern are all located within 400 metres of the park in this peaceful seaside community.
With its open grassed areas and waterfront access, caravan parks near Brisbane don’t get much more picturesque than Toorbul’s. It is the ideal place to unwind within and branch out from to discover what Toorbul and the surrounding areas hold. From Abbey Archaeological Museum and Caboolture Historical Village, to Bribie’s beaches and channel fishing hotspots, there is something to please everyone in and around this peaceful waterside community.
Love to explore nature? Discover the local wildlife found in the estuaries, visit the Toorbul Bird Roost, or take a stroll at dusk and watch as the parklands of this nature corridor become home to a local population of kangaroos!
What would a waterside getaway be without some wet and wild fun? Bring a kayak, or hire a boat and other water sporting equipment on Bribie Island to explore the channel and bay. There’s a few boat ramps to choose from on the island and on the mainland at Sandstone Point, or Donnybrook.
