Pitch a tent among the trees for a true nature experience, discover hidden swimming spots, toast marshmallows by the fire, or pull on your walking shoes and explore the national park.
Webbs Break campground is located under an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and spans around 100 acres of lush rainforest, including a privately-owned creek.
What makes Webbs Break so special? It offers exclusive, single bookings where you can enjoy the serenity and seclusion as the only campers on site! The best value for this camping near Brisbane is obtained by groups or multiple families.
In summer, campers can enjoy the sprawling green lawns and swimming holes, or hit the hiking trails of nearby D’Aguilar National Park.
During the cooler months, settle around the potbelly fire or open fireplace and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and sounds of the great outdoors.
Unlike most campgrounds, Webbs Break has almost total tree cover with some grassed areas for camping tents and camper trailers. The remote site guarantees a real sense of freedom while camping. It’s the ideal location all year round, without the crowds.
With all the comforts on hand – including a hot shower, flushing toilets, and sheltered food prep area – this is a popular and safe spot for families, bird watchers and bushwalkers.
Keep an eye out for rock wallabies, red-legged and red-necked pademelons grazing during the day, lace monitors, and laughing kookaburras.
Webbs Break is located 15 minutes from the small township of Woodford, and close to Lake Somerset and the Stanley River. It is an easy day trip from Brisbane and the Sunshine and Gold coasts.
The D’Aguilar National Park is just up the road and offers many different activities such as bushwalking (for various ages and abilities) and wildlife spotting.
The campground itself is accessible for all types of cars. Caravans and large RVs (over 4.5t gvm) are not permitted as the mountain terrain is unsuitable for caravans. Camper trailers (including the small, Jayco-style pop-ups) are permitted if driven in using a 4x4 vehicle.
Webbs Break offers exclusive, single booking camping. You, along with your group of friends and family, will have sole use of the grounds, facilities and amenities.
There is no mobile call coverage or 240-volt power at Webbs Break, but campers can connect to the free Wi-Fi.
You will need to bring your own cooking equipment and gas bottles, as there are no BBQ or cooking facilities (but there is an undercover food prep area). Campers can use their generator or play music as there are no noise restrictions at this isolated camping near Brisbane site.
