Yabbey Road fish and chips are located along the sea line of Redcliffe Parade. This iconic English inspired fish and chip store has been open for over 4 years and has seen tremendous growth throughout this time. Owners Alan and Kathy Bray take tremendous pride in the quality and affordability of their products and as a result, have won over the likes of the Redcliffe locals and the rest of the Brisbane area. The shop is Beatles themed and offers lunch, dinner and drinks 7 days a week. Takeaway and dine-in options are available both with and without booking. However, it should be noted that during busy periods it is recommended that over the phone orders are made prior to picking up as this shop is one of the busiest fish and chips stores in Queensland. However, if you’re dining in the venue is suitable for all patrons, with adequate wheelchair access, indoor and outdoor seating.
In 2019, Yabbey Road fish and chips were voted #1 for Brisbane’s Best Fish & Chips. Unsurprisingly, Yabbey Road also boasts an amazing rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Facebook and similar ratings on TripAdvisor with a certificate of Excellence from 2017 to 2019. Among these ratings are reviews that mention their fantastic customer service, great atmosphere, tasty food and value for money. Fortunately for the Redcliffe locals this place is close to home, however, Yabbey Road entices visitors from far and wide wanting to experience the amazing food and atmosphere on offer. What makes Yabbey Road all that more exciting is The Beatles theme spread everywhere throughout the shop from the menu to the music. There’s a yellow submarine behind the front counter, memorabilia, a life-size cut out of John Lennon and an Abbey-road style crossing out the front.
Not only does Yabbey road offer customers fish and chips but they also offer a range of burgers, wraps, salads, sausages, chicken breast and pineapple fritters. Some of the outstanding fish offered includes Cod, Hoki, Red Emperor, Barramundi, Sea Scallop as well as Calamari and Prawn Cutlets. If you’re looking for something that’s going to satisfy the kids, there are four kid’s meals to choose from including nuggets, pluto packs, fish bites and calamari. Additionally, Yabbey Road also offers value packs for singular or multiple people.
As much of the Abbey Road menu is homemade to add to the authenticity of the shop. This is inclusive of all sauces, mushy peas, beetroot chutney, batter and they also crumb the seafood themselves. Additionally, Alan and Kathy believe in trying their best to fit the needs of customers so that everyone can enjoy the fish and chip experience. Yabbey Road offers gluten-free chips, batters, homemade tartare, roasted garlic aioli, lemon aioli, tzatziki and curry sauces. As a special offer for gluten-free customers they also offer gluten-free mushy peas complimentary with cod deals so that all gluten intolerant customers can have a great eating out experience!
