For primo craft beer Brisbane North you can’t go past family-friendly Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Company. This microbrewery is brewing up a storm in North Lakes, offering beer enthusiasts over 195 local and imported beers, ciders and unique range beers including preservative free, gluten free, alcoholic ginger beer and even chilli-infused brews.

The microbrewery also hosts family-friendly Friday Knock Off Drinks, as well as monthly Karaoke Nights and other special events throughout the year.

Plan arvo drinks at Jumping Goats Bar, Redcliffe. Owned and run by a father-daughter team, this eclectic bar boats relaxed seaside vibes in a rustic setting. Sip on locally made beer as well as specialty craft brews. While the bar is stocked with a wide range of snacks including locally made jerky and peanuts plus cheese and crackers.

Home to many a-great events such as the Strawberry Festival, the much anticipated This That festival and Sandstone Rocks, Sandstone Point Hotel is also a place to kick back and relax. Dine in the terraced Alfresco area with the cool breeze flowing through Pumicestone Passage right in front of you or take your meal and drinks inside to the bistro. Bringing the kids along? Not a problem, there’s an additional outdoor seating area undercover or out on the grass under large beach-type umbrellas. This outdoor dining arrangement seats your close to the playground and petting zoo while still offering a cool sea breeze and stunning views of the passage.

The venue with it all. From accommodation, bars and dining, entertainment, gaming and tab, Eatons Hill Hotel has something for everyone. Boasting 9 bars under one roof, the most popular meet-up location is the Main bar where you can enjoy live music or sit back and relax in the adjoining lounge area in full view of the famous Fig Tree. Or maybe you’d prefer to crack a cold one and watch your favourite sport live on the Mega Screen in the Eatons Hill Beer Garden. Many say it’s the next best thing to being at the game!

Alternatively, if you and your mates are party animals, the Eatons Hill Nightclub is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday evening. Inducted into the hall of fame, the nightclub has won Queensland’s Best Entertainment Venue three years in a row.
