Let's raise a glass to these seven homegrown providers all producing top notch sips with love in Moreton Bay Region.

Each create their own brand of fully hand-crafted alcoholic beverages. Hidden among the suburbs of Moreton Bay Region, some of which open daily, some on weekends and some spring to life with food trucks and live music making them a great relaxed alternative to hitting up the pubs and crowded bars.

Oceanview Estates - Winery near Brisbane

With a plethora of choices between reds and whites and blends and dessert wines, Ocean View Estates have won our hearts and many awards with their passion for handcrafted wines. You can toast with these wines either in their award-winning venue, in your own home when you leave the cellar door or order them directly online.

Copper & Cane - Brisbane Gin Distillery

Whether you’re a gin, vodka or rum aficionado, or a recent addition to the craft spirit fanclub you're sure to find a new favourite Friday night go-to at Copper & Cane. Located in Old Petrie Town, production is artisanal and quality is sought above quantity. Whilst rum is being distilled in the traditional method with local molasses, gins and vodkas are available now.

Think native botanical, local fruits and native ingredients hand crafted and created in a 300L copper pot still on site in Old Petrie Town.

Open Wednesday 5pm - 9pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11am - 2pm and 5pm - 9m and Sundays 7:30am - 3pm.

Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Company - Craft Beer Brisbane

This North Lakes based micro-brewery is held in high esteem around these parts. You can take the plunge and create your very own batch using their commercial grade brewing equipment and quality ingredients. On the other hand, you can find a selection of preservative and chemical free beers and ciders based on popular bevvies, they also have their very own Thirsty Chiefs special range including gluten free and chilli beers. With great tasting beer, it’s a pleasure to raise a glass or two of their tasty brews.

Laceys Hill Distilling Co - Brisbane Gin Distillery

Find top notch drops crafted and bottled in the unlikely town of Dayboro. Their Moreton Sunrise Botanical Gin is a vibrant blue number that goes perfectly with a cracking G&T. The local artisans behind the distillery produce the range of spirits from scratch and are all about creating products that hero native and local ingredients. Get it online or at a few boutique bottle shops and bars.

Brendale Brewing Co - Craft Beer Brisbane

This go-to spot in Brendale is not just the perfect place to catch up with mates but also a ripper location to sink a few cold ones. Brendale Brewing Co supplies local, craft beer to patrons from Wednesday to Sunday. With no tv's to watch the sports channel, Brendale Brewing wants you to get back to basics and socialise with your friends, family and maybe even meet someone new while throwing back one of their drops.

Bring your furry, four-legged friends along, play some pool or foosball, try out the Super Nintendo, and don't forget about the missus and the bub - with baby change tables in the bathroom and plenty of board games to keep the kids entertained, Brendale Brewing truly understands the need for a local hangout.

Mount Glorious Distillery - Brisbane Gin Distillery

Nestled high in the foggy mountains of the D'Aguilar mountain range find Mount Glorious Distillery, a commercial production facility specialising in high end handcrafted spirits.

Although the distillery is not open to the public you can book a private tour if you care keen to see behind the scenes. You can get your hands on a bottle at Albany Creek, Kippa-Ring, Mango Hill and Strathpine Dan Murphy's.

Horny Wombat Brewing - Craft Beer Brisbane

Let’s be real, it’s never not a perfect time to sink a cold one. Make your way to the Redcliffe Peninsula where you will find this cheeky craft beer Brisbane venue ready for your visit. At the Horny Wombat Brewery each brew is crafted with care using natural ingredients (no added chemicals or preservatives). Sip on their exceptional core range or try a custom brew made especially for you. Don't know the difference between IPA and pale ale? Dont stress, the team will be sure to help!
