In the Moreton Bay Region, we are blessed with many art and craft centres showcasing local and international history, as well as exhibitions by budding and renowned artists.

As an award-winning centre, both locally and internationally, it’s no wonder the Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology is one of Queensland’s premier art attractions. As though travelling through time itself, you will journey through centuries of the world’s history. From prehistoric hunters to the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, you’ll soon arrive at the Industrial Revolution before making your way toward more modern discoveries. Their scope is almost limitless with a range of collections from varying civilisations and cultures. The Abbey Museum is suitable for those with a keen interest in arts and culture and can also make a great school excursion where students can excavate an Egyptian tomb or Roman dig site.
With space available for display, retail, workshops and studios, Bribie Island Community Arts Centre have quickly become one of the largest and busiest art centres in the Moreton Bay Region. Hosting temporary art exhibitions of local and invited guests, the studio is also available to visiting tutors who wish to share their skills and ideas. It is also home to markets on the last Sunday of each month and an event space available for hire.
The Pine Rivers Art Gallery made its name by hosting a diverse exhibition programme that includes ceramics, textiles, sculptures, paintings, and photography and more. The programme changes every 4-6 weeks, meaning you’ll always discover something new and intriguing. Workshops are also available from both renowned and emerging artists and available to both adults and children.
Like the Pine Rivers Art Gallery, the Redcliffe Art Gallery has a penchant for displaying a dynamic and diverse range of exhibitions. From historical to contemporary material, the Redcliffe Art Gallery presents a range of visual art, crafts, and designs ranging from printmaking, installation, digital media, sculptures and more. The theme of the exhibitions reflects the Gallery’s commitment to educating their visitors.
Comprising of four gallery spaces, the Caboolture Regional Art Gallery plays host to a vast array of artwork with nationally significant touring and curated exhibitions. The Main Gallery displays some of the best local artists while The Hub focuses on nurturing lesser-known local artists. The Long Gallery is focused on drawings, painting and photography exhibitions while the Focus Gallery displays moving image and other multi-media designs that transcend the boundaries of canvas.
