Petrie Mill Adventure Playground not only has a free water park, it also features two playgrounds for younger and older children, flying fox, a large cricket pitch and green space, and sheltered barbecue area.
The adventure tower echoes the main industrial structure of the Petrie paper mill, which used to occupy the site. There’s a range of climbing and exploratory challenges throughout, with climbing nets over multiple levels before reaching the top. It has been designed so adults can easily supervise their children and even have a go themselves.
Littlies can climb at varying heights in the junior play area, explore imaginative peek-a-boo elements, crawl through spaces, and slide to their heart’s content. Petrie Mill Adventure Playground has to be one of the best playgrounds to explore in Brisbane!
The park has plenty of carparking space, toilets, barbecues and wide, open green spaces, making it one of the best parks in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay Region for birthday parties and group outings.
Kids parties are especially fun at Petrie Mill Adventure Playground, with options for all ages, water play, a flying fox and even a game of cricket a possibility.
Because it’s a popular weekend ‘party-in-the-park’ destination, it is a good idea to head down early if you want to use the picnic shelters or barbecue areas.
With so much to do, you can spend a couple of hours or even the day at Petrie Mill Adventure Playground. Make sure you pack swimmers for the kids, because the water park will be too hard to resist. You’ll also need a hat, sunscreen and a keen sense of fun.
