Keep the kids entertained this winter with a mystical experience they won’t forget – playing a round of putt putt in the snow! The snow par-tee is complete with snow machines, jolly tunes and festive decorations covering the 18-hole course. While the kids are busy the adults can sneak off to enjoy frozen cocktails at the bar – cheers!

Spend Some Family Fun at the Farm

The Moreton Bay Hinterland is an animal-lovers paradise with several farm experiences to delight kids of all ages these school holidays. If it’s something unique you’re looking for, there’s a herd of rescue deer at Lyell Deer Sanctuary just waiting to meet you! If it’s a farm experience you’re chasing, we suggest Trevena Glen Farm for their furry-animal-filled tours and horse-riding experiences. For the younger kiddies, look no further than White Ridge Farm. Here, you can hand-feed goats and alpacas, pet guinea pigs, enjoy a tractor ride or smile for a snap with Gypsy the Camel.

#4

Get your Heart All A-flutter at Bribie Island Butterfly House

Straight out of a picture book, the Bribie Island Butterfly House is always in bloom and surrounded by fluttering butterflies all year-round. With a guided tour of the facility by volunteers, you can step into a butterfly haven and interact with them in their natural environment, even getting to see the breeding lab! Opening hours are Wednesday’s and Sunday’s and is pram and wheelchair friendly. Hot tip! Butterflies like bright colours such as red, so wear a colourful shirt and hat and you might just have a close encounter with a butterfly.
