Trevena Glen Farm is known as Brisbane’s best animal farm experience. The family-owned farm is situated on 16 acres of land in the foothills of the D’Aguilar Range, just a 10-minute drive from Samford Village, Dayboro town and is 40mins from Brisbane’s CBD.

Trevena Glen provides a safe, fun, and loving environment to all who visit. This farm has been an iconic place within Moreton Bay Region for 38 years.

Café, Multi-level Tree house and Mini train steam ride

At the heart of the farm is Trevena Glen’s iconic 130 year old Moreton bay fig tree. This beautiful tree has a multi-level tree house which is sure to excite and delight every kid! Parents and friends can enjoy barista made coffee, food and snacks from the newly built onsite café whilst relaxing at the picnic tables under the tree.

An exciting highlight (which is already under construction) is a mini train steam ride. This amazing addition will showcase the farm, as it meanders through the hidden flower garden, vegetable patch, goes through the tunnel and then crosses the rail bridge. The first stage of the train ride will be operating in late October 2023.

Tours and Animal Experiences

Every day we move our animals to their paddocks and yards and give them their food. Join us and participate in the feeding time for a more intimate and personal opportunity to meet our animals. Our tours are where you are able to see the farm in action and personally meet all 12 animals. Each of our tours are unique, ‘hands on’, and enjoyable.

  • Cost is from $20pp with group discounts available usually for 4 or more people.
  • All tours are available 6 days per week (Mon – Sat) at various times
  • Bookings are essential so that your guided tour can be organised
  • A 15 min horse ride experience can be combined with any tour

Kids Birthday Parties

Does your child have a birthday coming up, keen to have a farm party? Then call Trevena Glen! You can choose from various party packages which include tractor trailer rides, jumping castle, an alpaca party, horse riding and of course meeting all the wonderful farm animals. Packages start from $140 for up to 50 children.

NDIS Program & Equine Assisted Learning

As an approved and registered NDIS provider, Trevena Glen has experienced staff who will work with clients to achieve their specific goals & outcomes. Here are some basic goals that their NDIS & EAL programs can assist with:

  • developing relationships & emotional regulation
  • improving core body strength via horse riding (only available based on our assessment of capabilities & safety)
  • hand eye coordination
  • follow instructions & carrying out tasks independently
  • encourage initiative through animal interactions

A standard session is 2hrs in duration with both regular and one-off sessions available. Book via website

Horse Riding Lessons

Book in for Beginner & Intermediate Horse Riding Lessons in the Samford surrounds area with Holiday Horse Riding programs too. Trevena Glen Farm has a range of ponies and horses are available catering from beginner level through to intermediate. All riding trainers have horse industry experience and are continually honing their skills working alongside the head coach.

Specific learning plans are tailored to each student, with most lessons one-on-one and all riding gear provided. Prices start from as little as $60 per 30 min a week (pre-purchased term blocks only).

School, Day Care and Kindy Excursions and Holiday Programs

A tailored ‘hands-on’ farm experience is both greatly enjoyable and educational. Generally, these experiences last 3 to 4 hours with time allowed for morning tea & lunch. They include large and small horse riding with opportunities for grooming, small farm animal encounters and large animal feeding complete with tractor trailer rides.

  • The farm features disabled and accessibility facilities including designated parking, toilets, and pathways suitable for wheelchairs and wheelie walkers.
