Things to do in the area

Camping at Dayboro whether it be in your tent or at the caravan park allows you to escape the busy city hustle and escape to nature. Dayboro is a great little town to hide away in for a few weeks. The surrounding countryside is spectacular with small creeks to swim in and explore. It is easy access to Mt Mee and the D’Aguilar National Park which offer 4WD and great places to swim for visitors. The town itself has still maintained its village feel. There are all the services and shops you need, including the award-winning Dayboro Butcher. There are plenty of cafes and great eating places also, including the pub right in the main street. The barbershop has been restored as an old fashion replica of a salon bar, and well worth a look. They have markets each month and the town is a buzz on weekends with Dayboro being a preferred stop for bike riders taking the Mt Mee route up the mountain. Major events include the Rodeo and Dayboro Day, where they close off the main street and have a host of entertainment for the day.
