Check-out, but don't leave yet

10AM

It’s time to pack the bags and check out of your accommodation. Don’t worry – your weekend is not over yet! There are more activities in store before you head home.

If you're in for something new head to North Lakes X-Golf

After a bit of putting practice the day prior at Undersea Putt & Play it’s time to put those skills into action at Northlakes latest hi-tech simulated 18-hole putt-putt course. There are six simulators that mimic the real game – meaning you can play without the jitters and forget about the cool weather outside. We suggest you try out the Area 51 hole for a challenge with a time limit.

If you're visiting over a weekend head to Old Petrie Town Markets

If you happen to be traveling on a Sunday, you could swap the putt-putt for the markets at Old Petrie Town. Between 7am-1pm you’ll find stalls that join the historic buildings with tasty gourmet food options, fresh fruit, veg and more. Check out the stalls, watch the steam engines go ‘round and try spotting a koala in one of the surrounding gum trees!

#9

Watch the Sun Set with an Afternoon BBQ at Lake Samsonvale

1PM

Before you set your sat nav to home, spend your last few hours in Moreton Bay soaking up the winter sun at Lake Samsonvale. Pull out the picnic rug and fire up the BBQ.

Located just near Joyner, expect picturesque views across each of the designated picnic areas or take a stroll along the walking trail. Take your pick from Bullocky Rest, McGavin View, Forgan Park, Forgan Cove, and Kobble Creek. For the avid fishers, get yourself a permit, pack your rod, and you might just catch yourself a fish while you’re there!

After a big weekend exploring the Moreton Bay region, it’s time to head home. Spend the car ride recounting your favourite memories from the weekend.
