8AM - Head to the hills

DAY 1

Set the alarm for an early rise and hit the road for your first stop to the charming village of Samford, only 30 minutes from Brisbane.

Although only minutes away, the fresh air and rolling hills will have you feeling like you're worlds away (without the lengthy travel time).

In Samford, you'll notice a bustling cafe culture along the main street, where you'll be spoilt for choices with so many great places to fuel up on caffeine and some delicious breakfast.

Some of the amazing spots we recommend: Little Tree Bake & Brew House, Long Yard Larder, Canter & Colt, Cafe Lagarto and The Flying Nun.

Handcrafted estate wine awaits

Saying goodbye to Samford, its time to jump back in the car and head towards the award-winning Ocean View Estates.

Pulling up to Ocean View by 10.45am, you're just in time for your 11am "Behind the Scenes" tour of the vineyard and winery. You'll discover the passion behind every bottle at Ocean View Estates and will get to taste their handcrafted wines and graze on a fine selection of tastes from the kitchen as you go.

You'll continue your experience with lunch over in the Restaurant overlooking the lake, it's truly a la carte dining at its finest.

We recommend you try the delicious succulent whole duck to share with seasonal vegetables, that have been seasonally grown and harvested from the estate’s herb and vegetable gardens. If you still have room, finish with the signature dessert - a decadent blueberry and salted caramel tart.

Arrive in style

Nothing says luxury quite like arriving by private helicopter after enjoying an incredible scenic flight.

Oceanview Helicopter and Aeroepower Helicopters both offer tours to Ocean View Estates, offering a truly memorable experience.

It's simply glorious.

The ultimate sunset at Jolly's Lookout

If you have a little bit of time to spare (and aren't in a rush to get home), then we recommend grabbing some cheese (and maybe picking up a bottle of wine) and heading to Jolly's Lookout for a picnic and unforgettable sunset.

The drive will take you about 20 minutes (you're now heading to Mount Nebo) but we promise you, it'll be worth it.
